The Saints Range
Illustrated Saints
Sally Titterington: Illustration
The Saints were produced in 2010 at the studio shop, 'From Space', the Saints are portrayed naked and raw to express their stories of sacrifice and profound belief.
'Crested and Crafted' These stories are not given in a digital format they will be dished up in a hand made, and hand drawn format with; symbols, emblems and religious imagery.
The stories behind these passionate and spiritual people are rich in imagery and colour, each Saint represents different occupations and situations.
St Jude, is the patron saint for 'Hopeless Cases', St Sebastian of athletes and against bubonic plague, St Theresa of Lisieux 'The LIttle Flower of Jesus', St Anthony of food as he was burnt at the stake he shouted out 'I'm done on this side, turn me over and bite me'.
The Saints are bold, potent people who will fight for their rights, they will rise and be counted, they represent love and adoration, they have visions, they are strong and powerful and at the same time human, people who can make mistakes and get hurt.
Who holds such immense passion and conviction, today? Are the Saints history? Who will be our future Saints?
